This getaway was only for one night, I actually booked it for my partners birthday present but we ended up going just a few days after my birthday...hehe! We'd never really booked anywhere like this before, however it really surprised us and we enjoyed every minute of it.
On arrival we were welcomed by the owners, this is a family run business and everyone was so lovely. We were offered tea and cake and shown to our room.
Our room was called the Butterfly room, it was beautiful! I had recently just watched Bridgerton on Netflix and it reminded me so much of that show. Our room was immaculate, a very nice size room with a king size bed, seating area with a TV. The bathroom was just as nice, the bath was amazing...definitely big enough! We also had the views of the garden which was an added bonus.
When we got there we settled in to our room and then we wondered around the grounds. There was lots to explore and we even played a game of croquet - I won of course! They even had an outdoor pool, even though we went in August, the weather wasn't great (classic UK) so we didn't use it but I can imagine on a hot summers day this would be perfect!
We had a lovely meal in Wells, the restaurant was called Fosso Lounge. We didn't really give ourselves a lot of time to explore Wells so we headed back to our room for the evening and had the best nights sleep ever!
In the morning we went to the breakfast room, the staff were lovely. I loved the china plates that they used, it was all so pretty!
Overall we had a really lovely stay, I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants a peaceful retreat or a romantic weekend away.
