This book is about Maggie, she is a Youtube Star and documents renovating houses for her audience. She takes on a challenge in the small town of Kinship, restoring a victorian house with her team. This is where she meets Silas, a landscaper who was born and raised in Kinship. My review (spoilers) :

Okay... I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! At the beginning I wasn't sure, I'm so used to reading books with a first person pov and when I realised this was third person it took me a while to get going but the more I read, the more I enjoyed it. I loved how there were a few different story lines to follow, her relationship with Silas, her family, Cody and the hidden treasure. I think it keeps the book interesting.

I loved Maggies character, she was always positive, determined and motivated. Although she worked with her team, she came across so independent. In this book Silas definitely falls first which doesn't happen all the time with romance books, after his first meeting with Maggie he is hooked and instantly wants to get to know her more. I also have to talk about Kevin, Silas' dog. I love books with a dog in, it's definitely an added bonus as I am a dog person and I just think it adds more humour into the story.

Overall, if you want a feel good summer read this year, I 100% recommend this book. I have seen some pretty negative feedback towards this book and I honestly don't know why, I absolutely loved it. I suppose everyone has their own opinions and if we all liked the same books it would be boring but I couldn't find find anything that I didn't like. It was an easy-going, lighthearted, funny read and I wish I could read it for the first time again.

Thanks for reading,
